Online help not accessible in network version

The information in this article applies to:

  • WinWay Resume 1.0 through 11.0, Windows XP with certain updates

Summary

In a product installed on a network server, the online help is not accessible.

More Information

This problem can be caused by Microsoft Security Update 896358, which is designed to increase security, and makes it impossible to view help files (.chm) through the network.

To correct this problem:

(It is highly recommended that you back-up your computer prior to performing the steps below)

  1. Click "Start", "Run", type regedit, and click "OK"
  2. Locate and then click the following subkey: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\HTMLHelp\1.x\ItssRestrictions
    If this subkey does not exist, create it
  3. Right-click the "ItssRestrictions" subkey, point to New, then click DWORD Value
  4. Type MaxAllowedZone, and then press "Enter"
  5. Right-click the MaxAllowedZone value, and then click "Modify"
  6. In the Value data field, type 1, and then click "OK"
  7. Quit the Registry Editor
