Upgrade failed to uninstall previous version

The information in this article applies to:

  • System currently has WinWay Resume Deluxe 9.0 or later

Summary

  • During upgrade, the installation program must first remove the previously-installed version.
  • If the installed version is damaged, installation may not proceed.

Method 1

  1. Download and run the "Program Install/Uninstall Troubleshooter" from the Microsoft web site
  2. Use the troubleshooter to remove the currently-installed version of WinWay Resume Deluxe
  3. Install the new version

Method 2

To forcefully remove the currently-installed version from the registry:

  1. Click on this file
  2. Select "Open"
  3. When asked "Are you sure...," choose "YES"
  4. Expect a notification that information was added, click "OK" to acknowledge
  5. Proceed to install the new version.
